About us

Rooted in Santa Clara
since 2023

Bonsai NorCal started as a simple journal of one grower's trees in Santa Clara. It's grown into a hub for Bay Area enthusiasts โ€” sharing honest guides, cataloguing local specimens, and building the community that serious bonsai practice deserves.

We write for the Northern California climate. Our guides account for our dry summers, mild winters, and the specific challenges of growing bonsai in the Bay Area.
